Copper Parrot Heads are primarily used to see in real time the Alcoholic Strength of your distillation as it comes out the still. After removing the plastic spout, the Parrot Head is pled after the condenser outlet, allowing the distillate to flow through on its way to the collection container. It's handy because the parrot will hold your hydrometer, so you can take real-time readings of the alcohol percentage during the distillation process without having to transfer to a hydrometer jar. If you intend to use the parrot on a more permanent basis you may wish to cut the outlet pipe to suit and maybe create a way of holding this in ple. Also included is a base. The Air Still stands approx 24.5cm. Not like other short ones on . This allows you plenty of room to insert a hydrometer to measure the output as you run it. There is an option to purchase a taller one if you require it. Also, as all my Parrot Heads are handmade, and may have the odd solder run, or heat blemish.
