Review: However I do have a problem with some character changes, especially Frodo. The brave wise middle-aged book Frodo is way more awesome than the whiney scared teenage movie Frodo. And there are many other character changes as well, like Merry and Pippin, Faramir, Aragorn, etc. I understand some changes, like making the Helm's Deep siege more dramatic, but some changes are just unnecessary. You can't understand the level of cringe I feel whenever I watch the scene where Frodo tells Sam to go away, while in the books in the exact same time Frodo and Sam have one of the most optimistic and amazing conversations they have throughout the books.
